April
15th to 18th 2010 is the date for
the next Project 242 event based at the Pioneer Centre in Worcestershire.
The title for the 2010 event is "by faith" and we will be studying what
does it truly mean to live by faith.
Pioneer
242/10 caters for all ages with an exciting program for adults, supervised
creche facilities and a kids program
for ages 4-11.
More details of the programme will be posted nearer
the time but for now please read below for a little insight into the
subject we will be looking at. Subject Summary
Our
relationship with God begins with us having faith in what He has
done for us through His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. “By
grace you have been saved through faith” (Ephesians 2:8) It
is a faith that saves us, giving us eternal life and starting us
off on
what can be a great journey. God
asks us to live life ‘by faith’, trusting Him for all
things. It’s sometimes easier said than done. Learning to believe
God’s promises, and stepping out with Him into every circumstance
that comes our way, is a challenge for every one of us. But, “faith
is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen” (Hebrews
11:1) and we need to learn to have a real trust in God.
After
all, it’s
only by increasing our faith in Him that we can move forward in a developing
relationship with Him. God desires the best
for each of us, but for us to experience this we need to live by faith,
trusting Him for everything. He can do great things through those who
live by faith, but are we brave enough to step out? Are we limiting the
work of God because of our lack of faith?
The
study at Pioneer 242 will focus on real, living and active faith
seen in the lives of
God-given examples. For inspiration and encouragement,
for guidance and direction, for a true understanding of what faith really
is, we need to share the vision of what God can and will achieve in lives
lived ‘by faith’. Pioneer 242 will give us the chance to
discuss faith together and learn valuable lessons from each other.
Our
prayer is that we will, as a result, be seen and known as people
who live ’by faith.’ It’s the life that God is calling
us to, and “with God all things are possible.”
